*** We are running low on disinfecting wipes, paper towels, and glue sticks . If you would like to volunteer and bring in any of those items, it would be greatly appreciated. *

*Join us at Barnes and Noble in East Brunswick on Thursday, May 24th from 5-8pm for a fun filled evening. If you purchase books, a donation will be made to the school. Look for me in the children's area from 7:00 -8:00 pm.

On Friday, May 25, there will be an 11:30 AM dismissal. Aftercare will still be available. There will be no school on Monday, May 28.

If your child has a summer birthday and would like to celebrate his/her birthday in school, please let us know what day is best.

*Re-registration Packets have been sent home. Please read them over and return to school as soon as possible to guarantee a place in Kindergarten. Thank you.

*Delayed Opening Information: If St. Bartholomew School has a 2 hour delayed opening, Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 will begin at 9:30AM and end at normal time. Our doors will open at 9:20am . Announcements will be made through the Honeywell Instant Alert System and will be posted on the School's main webpage.

*Please try to arrive at school between 8:20 AM and 8:30 AM to allow time for the children to take care of their belongings. Children who are late miss our circle time activities. If you are to arrive before 8:20 AM you will be charged for morning care. Thank you.

*Aftercare: Aftercare students will be supplied with a snack during the stay in aftercare, but we would like you to provide a drink for your child. There was a mistake on the letter that went home stating that both would be provided; however, it will just be a snack. Children will be may use the water fountain in our Pre-K building and the water cooler when they are over in the gym. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your understanding.

*Please remember to call 732-257-6668 or send an email to nurse@stbartseb.com if your child will be absent for the day. Also, remember that we require a note when your child returns to school. Please see the Nurse’s webpage on our website for all health office information.

*Parents please make sure to label backpacks, lunch boxes and jackets.

*VOLUNTEERING AT THE SCHOOL

If you volunteer at the school during the school day, you must take the "Protecting God's Children" Workshop and have a criminal background check with fingerprinting. You must pre-register for this session on the Diocese of Metuchen website at http://diometuchen.org/offices-and-ministries/vicar-general/child-and-youth-protection/protecting-god-s-children/training-sessions/. Our Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Kaitlin McAndrew, is the facilitator. If you have any questions, please contact the School Office or send me an email.
