Welcome to our Nurture Room
We look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure your children can achieve their highest potential. A strong partnership between home and school will help your child flourish.
There are two members of staff in The Nurture Room;
Miss Finch - HLTA
Mrs Skuse - TA
If you would like to meet to discuss your child’s progress and needs I will be available on Thursday afternoons from 2.45pm to 3.15pm.
The Nurture Room is a friendly, welcoming space where the children feel happy, safe and secure. The children’s learning is planned through topics. This half term our story bag focus is traditional tales – Goldilocks and the three bears. We have had fun making and eating porridge, using our puppet theatre and making a story path that is as long as our classroom!
Helping your child achieve their highest potential
Please find time to hear your child read every day, and ask questions to check they have understood what they are reading. It really will make a massive difference to your child’s progress.
In numeracy we have been energetically exercising and ‘sing counting’ every morning. We have been looking at size order of objects and numbers, and using Charlie Crocodile to help us show which is the bigger of two numbers.
PE is on Tuesdays and cooking on is on Fridays. We also have swimming on a Thursday morning this half term.
We will be having a session where parents/carers of children in the group can join us during our cookery session before half term. Your child will bring home an invitation.
Please feel free to speak to us here in the Nurture Room if you have any worries or concerns, we are always happy to help.
