Friends of St Martins: PTA
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The aim of The Friends of St. Martin’s School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to raise funds for the school to spend on equipment this is done by events run by the PTA, Staff and Children.
All Parents and Carers become members of the PTA when their child starts at the school and all are welcome to attend the committee meeting and events, without your help the PTA could not operate.
The committee is made up of:
Chair: Mrs Siobhan Kurn
Acting Head of School: Mrs H Bridges
Committee: Parent or Carer from each year.
Other members’ can be co-opted as required.
The committee meets every six weeks during term times at these the events will be planed and jobs given to members.
The PTA also has a work party group these are parents, carers and people like grandparents who wish to support the PTA events but do not wish to be on the committee.
The PTA issue news updates every term to show how the monies are spent and upcoming events.
Please support the PTA and if you would like more information please contact a committee member.
PTA: The Friends Need You!
From September 2016, The Friends (PTA), would like to replace a number of the committee members, due to the fact a number of the present members will not have children in the school any more. It would be great if we could have a representative from each class.
To make sure The Friends (PTA) carry on the amazing work they do for the school, we would like to have a full new committee in place; so they can start planning events in 2016. If you like working with a team of people who want the children at St. Martins to have even more exciting enrichment opportunities and experiences then you are the type of person we need.
You do not need to be a parent but you need a link to the school such as a grandparent, carer etc. All we ask is for you to give some time to help.
Please think about it! The Friends (PTA) have been helping the school over many years and we would like to think the support will go on for many more years.
The school provide a crèche. The meetings should not last more than 45 minutes. All are very welcome.
