General Information Year 1 Superworm Class:
Welcome to Superworm Class. In our class you will find Mrs Facey teaching Monday and Mrs Jones Tuesday to Friday.
Our PE lesson is on a Monday and we do wake up shake up every morning.
Children are encouraged to read 4 times a week and can change their books every morning. Each time they read at home they will earn a count towards a leaf on the school Reading Tree.
Our topic for this term is Dungeons and Dragons. Along with the children we decided this half term to explore Knights, castles and of course, Dragons!
Dates for the Diary
19th February- Back to school
22nd February- Special Vistor
23rd February- Break the Rules day
1st March- World Book Day
30th March- Bank Holiday (Good Friday) Easter holidays begin.
Just a reminder that children should be reading at least 4 times a week and they should also be practicing their spellings.
All children have a target to know how to spell the Year One Common exception words, so practicing at home really helps with this.
Year 1 will get homework occasionally which will also be given out on a Friday, to be handed in by the following Wednesday.
Family Learning Time
Every other Thursday, we have family learning time in our class where our families are able to join us and read with us. We enjoy sharing our classroom and our learning with our families.
