Our Curriculum at Quethiock
At Quethiock we believe in the importance of providing meaningful experiences within our curriculum. We place a strong emphasis on reading, writing, maths and science, but also give our children opportunities to develop a broad range of skills and talents across the entire curriculum. We want all our children to discover what their individual strengths and interests are; our pupils should develop a love for learning which lasts a lifetime. It is important that the children have opportunities to experience first hand life beyond our small community and we regularly take our learning outside of the classroom and invite specialists to work alongside our pupils.
Quethiock School follows the Government's new primary curriculum. A copy of this is available to download here. We will continue to develop our coverage of this curriculum and we will adapt it as we see fit to ensure it provides a high quality experience for our pupils.
Please see below for a rolling programme of our curriculum themes, through which we plan our learning across the whole curriculum. During the academic year 2017/18 we will be following the year B topics.
Parents will be provided with curriculum information sheets each term providing further information about what will be covered in each topic.
