Safeguarding - St Barnabas Church of England MAT

Our Trust has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This means that we have a child protection policy and procedures in place.

All staff, including our volunteers and supply staff, must ensure they are aware of our policies and procedures.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will always ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with the parents/ carers first unless we have reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests.

If you have a concern about a child please speak to Sean Powers who is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Interim Executive Principal

The officer with responsibility to cover for the Designated Safeguarding Lead is Louise Collins, SENCo

The name of the Designated Teacher for Children in Care is Sean Powers, Interim Executive Principal
