SIAMS Inspection

In our most recent SIAMS inspection, we were awarded 'Outstanding Church School' status.

Every Church of England School has a statutory Inspection otherwise known as the Section 48 Inspection. This is in addition to the Section 5 Ofsted Inspection. It is known as the SIAMS – Statutory Inspection for Anglican and Methodist Schools– inspection.

This inspection is undertaken by a Section 48 qualified inspector and takes place between three and five years depending on the previous school’s previous Section 48 judgement.

The SIAMS focuses on four key objectives:

  • How well does the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meet the needs of all learners?
  • What is the impact of collective worship on the school community?
  • How effective is the religious education?
  • How effective are the leadership and management of the school as a church school

Each school is expected to focus on self-evaluation as a tool to support staff and governors.

All SIAMS inspection reports are available on the National Society website.
