Religious education at Antony School provokes challenging questions about the ultimate meaning and purpose of life, beliefs about God, the nature of reality, issues about right and wrong and what it means to be human. We aim to develop the children’s knowledge and understanding of Christianity throughout the key stages, alongside Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Islam through a two year rolling programme. We encourage the children to take time for personal reflection and spiritual development. The children learn from the different religions, beliefs, values and traditions while exploring their own beliefs and questions. The RE at Antony School challenges the children to reflect on, consider, interpret and evaluate issues of truth, belief, faith and ethics.
As a church school we are subject to a SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection. In June 2015 Antony School was inspected and was graded as an OUTSTANDING church school. Please see our SIAMS inspection report below.
