Forms
Accessible Forms
Forms are widely used for good reasons.
They standardize, automate, simplify, and speed up a variety of processes.
But not all forms are created equal.
In this exercise, you will compare a form that has a number of barriers to accessibility with a copy that has been built fully accessible.
Please note: this is a DocuSign sandbox, and does not incur any costs. The request itself and the applications referenced in the form are fictitious, for demonstration purposes only, and you may use ficticious data if you prefer. You, as the user, should simply complete and sign the form - no other action is required. None of the information collected will be used or shared in any capacity.
NOTE - Complete Exercise #1 before moving on to Exercise #2
Exercise #1: Inaccessible Forms
Take a look at the following form in Docusign. Note the many purposeful inaccessible elements in the form itself. Think about color, tab navigation, labels, tooltips, alt-text. Look at logos, data validation, input feedback, and what makes the form difficult to understand and complete.
Exercise #2: Accessible Forms
Look at the inaccessible form in Docusign from the last exercise, and compare it to this fully accessible version of the same form. Note some of the key changes that make the form easy to read, understand, and fill out.
