Bio

I am a Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in the Department of Statistics at the University of Haifa, which I joined in 2019. Prior to that I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Biostatistics, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, advised by Prof. Rebecca Betensky. I earned my Ph.D. degree in 2016 from the Department of Statistics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, under the supervision of Prof. Micha Mandel

Research interests

My research focuses on development of statistical methods for analysis of complex and possibly incomplete data, methods that aim to correct for biased sampling, account for missingness and, in certain cases, allow drawing causal conclusions.

Some research areas of my interest include:

In general, I am interested in problems that aim to answer important scientific questions motivated by real life, questions that pose statistical challenges and lead to collaboration with other disciplines. Please visit my Research page to learn more.

Funding

I am grateful to be funded by the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) and by the National Institute on Aging of the NIH

Open positions

I am looking for motivated PhD students and postdocs with strong background in Statistics, who are interested in developing methods for incompletely observed data sampled with bias and/or methods for federated learning from complex and heterogeneous data. Please feel free to send me an email.
