Communication Guidelines

Equity Crowdfunding is an incredible step towards democratizing capital for both companies and investors. That being said, the regulations surrounding the JOBS Act which makes this all possible make it so that all information had to be found in one centralized place.

The SEC is very particular about what you can and what you cannot say in regards to marketing your offering. What you normally might say to acquire customers or users, through equity crowdfunding is under your much stricter scrutiny.

For example - You are not allowed to talk about the terms of your offering, along with a description of your company. So, with that in mind, you couldn't mention the funding goal of your company, along with any colorful language about performance, projections, history, the product... etc.
