Kristen Schulz has been a physical therapist since 2013 after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah. A former collegiate cross-country and track athlete, she has spent much of her life involved in sports and remains an active runner, run coach, and strength coach.
Kristen enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities, runners, and active adults looking to return to the activities they love. She has a special interest in helping runners not only return to running after injury, but return to performing at their highest level. As a former collegiate athlete herself, she also enjoys working with former competitive athletes who are navigating the challenges of staying active, healthy, and pursuing new performance goals beyond their competitive years.
In addition to her clinical experience, Kristen is certified in dry needling and Graston Technique. While she values evidence-based practice and continuing education, she also believes that lived experience matters. Having navigated her own injuries as a competitive athlete, she understands both the physical and mental challenges that often accompany the recovery process.
Kristen believes that successful rehabilitation is built on more than exercises and treatment techniques. She values developing meaningful relationships with her patients and creating an environment where people feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.
What Kristen enjoys most about working at STAR is the people - both the patients and her fellow therapists. She appreciates the culture of authenticity and believes some of the best outcomes happen when both therapists and patients feel comfortable showing up as themselves.
