Hi Everyone,

The children had an excellent week this week! They especially enjoyed making Spring Decorations.

This week in Religion Class, we discussed the Sacraments of Confirmation, Matrimony and Holy Orders.

In Math class we learned about the number 15, how to count up to number 15, one on one correspondence to the number 15, and how to write the number 15.

This week, in Handwriting and Phonics we learned about the letter T, the sound letter T makes, words that begin with letter T and how to write both upper and lower case T.

This week we continued to work on CLI Theme 7: Folk Stories on the Farm. This theme focuses on folk stories, characters, settings, plots, comparing and contrasting stories, poetry, animal sounds, Spanish words, sequencing events, sequencing skills, retelling stories, social and emotional skills, The Vocabulary Words for Theme 7 are: loiter, sow, scrumptious, harvest, hen, knead, miller and rooster. The Sight Words for Theme 7 are: to, and, in, of , was, little, we, the, went, this, at, where, will, have, do, on, me, I, it, who, a, said, if, my, like, when. Please review these sight words with your child regularly.

This week in Theme 7 we discussed sequencing in a story, how homes are built and the tools that are used to build homes, comparing and contrasting stories, beginning, middle and ending sounds in words, and ordinal numbers.

Here are some reminders for next week, the week of March 25, 2019:

  • There will be a Dress Down Day on Friday, March 29, 2019 - $2.00 Donation.
  • Pretzel Money is due on Friday, March 29, 2019 - $2.50.
  • A Night at the Races will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in our School Hall. Please see calendar for details.
  • Lunch Money for the month of April is due on Monday, April 1, 2019 - $25.00 per family.
