Dear Pre-K4 Families,

We had a beautiful week for the letter Bb. Our Bible Lesson taught us about the Epiphany when the Three Kings came and brought Jesus gifts. The children were very happy to receive brand new crayons for their pencil cases.

The children loved meeting BbBunny. I hope your child shared his cute song with you. Some of the topics we explored last week were Bible, bats, birds, bald eagles, beautiful, birthdays, butterflies and bears. The children made cards that have words that begin with the Bb sound and completed many activities that pertain to the letter Bb.

In Library class the children practiced being illustrators. They designed covers for a book. They were all Caldecott Illustrator winners!

On Friday the children had a great time sharing their items for show and tell. This is another great way for the children to learn their letter sounds. Thank you for your support with show and tell. The children really look forward to this and want to bring something from home. We have items just in case they don't have something but sometimes they don't want our help. In the afternoon we went to the gym and the children had a ball pretending to throw snowballs (yarn balls) in the gym! They also had fun making a snowman scene with white paper. This week we will meet Curly Caterpillar and the letter sound Cc. So much learning ahead. Have a great week.

Please remember while we are doing our letter sound activities each week we will skip the vowels A,E,I,O,U until the end of the alphabet because they have two sounds. Please help your child guess what the puppet might be. Please don't tell the puppet's name. For show and tell on Fridays, please help your child choose ONE item that begins with the letter we are working on. The item must fit in your child's backpack. No extra bags to carry as they have enough with their backpacks and their lunch boxes. We appreciate your support in this as we have 23 children in our family and if they have an extra bag it is hard for us to help everyone.

Peace and Joy,

Mrs. Bradford
