"So it’s Stanford. It’s just the best. Because a lot of people, there are benefits. They dedicate their lives and their self being here because you can not make it wrong here. You’re a staff for Stanford, your employer, so it’s a good one. It’s a really good one. It helps especially my kids with school, with college.

So now I’m staying with my in-laws for all of the past three years. But we’re planning to move this year hopefully, but the thing is that the housing is, the two-bedroom that we’re looking at right now is $2,500. But still I have to commute an hour or two hours. So still. If you go to Santa Clara, it’s worse. You know? So they should, not only Stanford, they should, the government do something else. They should have a program that low-income families can afford to find housing with 10% or 30% discount for the house.
But we survive. Because really it’s my kids. They’re getting old and growing up and they don’t have their own rooms. It’s kind of hard. But what can we do? But in California, that’s the cost of living. So. You know, everywhere. But the government, they should, not only the Stanford area, they should remember the workers, that don’t have degrees and live paycheck to paycheck and have a program that you can buy a house.

We sacrificed a lot to move to the Bay. I want to own my house. But how? I can’t save any money right now because I have two kids to feed."
