Erica Nemser is the CEO of Compact Membrane Systems (CMS), a pioneer in separations technology. She led the transformation of CMS from research oriented to commercially driven organization, focusing on technology solutions for decarbonization applications: modular olefin/paraffin separation and carbon capture. These award winning technologies enable waste to value and low cost recovery of CO2, so that we can have the things we want and need, while protecting the planet we love. CMS products are currently used in power gen and grid stability, IoT, pharma manufacture, and petchem production.
Prior to leading CMS, Dr. Nemser spent 13 years at McKinsey and Company, developing an expertise in product strategy, product launch, portfolio management, new company growth, and risk management strategy for innovative products with long development cycles. Erica led several internal strategic initiatives for McKinsey, including best practice consulting and talent management. She received her BA in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and her MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
