"Dark Horse" Prototyping

In January 2023, student teams from Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, and China came together to work on "dark horse" prototypes. These long-shot solution concepts help break teams out of their conventional thinking and prompt them to explore more daring, innovative possibilities.

Teams begin Global Week working together to develop "dark horse" ideas.

Public Presentations / Critiques

During Global Week, student teams get a chance to know one another in-person and absorb the "culture" of technical design innovation at Stanford zUniversity. Public presentations and open-door small group meetings provide many opportunities for students to learn from each others' work as well as to get valuable feedback on their progress from experienced professionals.

Global Faculty Leadership

Faculty from Stanford and global partner institutions interact with student teams throughout their experience to help them get the most from their time in Silicon Valley.
