We are facing a global climate crisis and the new Doerr School of Sustainability was created to bring Stanford’s resources to bear on finding solutions. Everyone at DCI can help. The Sustainability, Climate and Energy LIG is poised to facilitate DCI engagement in a growing number of activities at the school and amongst each other in meaningful ways:
Mentoring student groups through a wide range of entrepreneurial activities around campus: student courses (Hacking for Climate Change & Stanford Climate Ventures), teams receiving TomKat Center’s Innovation Transfer awards (commercializing innovations in sustainability), and new Stanford student-led endeavors financed through the High Impact Technology fund.
Providing ongoing education to DCI Fellows through access to climate, energy and sustainability conferences, events, and courses.
Creating community amongst our members, encouraging an exchange of ideas and activities in the climate space.
Advising Faculty through the new School of Sustainability Accelerator's projects to translate research to policy, technology or community-based climate action.
