Leaders: Susan Golden and Emilio Umeoka
We focus on the many innovations, products, services, and policies to support longevity and the 100-year life (and not the biologic components and solutions to address of aging). Each year we select a few topics as areas of focus, one of which is the Stanford Center on Longevity’s Annual Design Challenge theme. The 2024-25 theme is: “Reimagining Education and Learning for Longer Lives”. We also partner with the SCL Design Challenge, and DCI Fellows can serve as Judges and Mentors for their applicants. Currently, have we three meetings planned with guest speakers addressing innovative solutions and opportunities for impact. Our group also shares reading materials and resources; information about conferences held by outside organizations; and additional mentoring and impact opportunities addressing innovations for longevity. Last year we focused on addressing ageism, and accelerating innovations for caregivers. We will continue to provide resources on how to engage in those topics this year as well.
