Stanford Graduate School of Business
The Bowen H. and Janice Arthur McCoy Professor of Ethics, Psychology, and Leadership
I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from Princeton University, after earning an M.Sc. in Social Psychology at the London School of Economics. I completed my undergraduate studies at ESSEC, a business school near Paris, and at the Lycée Privé Sainte Geneviève, in Versailles. I joined the Stanford Department of Psychology in 2001, and since 2008 I have held appointments both in psychology and in the Organizational Behavior area at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
I have taught Critical Analytical Thinking and Ethics and Management to Stanford MBAs, Statistics and Research Methods to PhD students, and Intro to Psychology and Intro to Social Psychology to undergraduates -- as well as multiple research seminars. I have received the Dean’s Award for Distinguished Teaching, and I have held visiting positions at the University of Michigan and at the University of Paris 10. I served as an associate editor for the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and my work has appeared in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Psychological Science, and the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
I currently teach Acting With Power to MBA students every fall, and Showing Up to Stanford undergraduates.
