Movie Night 2025

We sincerely thank everyone who attended the Parent Consultations this week. It was delightful to connect with so many of you and share valuable insights into your child’s progress at school.
We appreciate your taking the time to meet with our teachers and engage in meaningful conversations. Your active participation is crucial to your child’s success, and we value the partnership between home and school.
We understand that schedules can be challenging for parents and carers who could not schedule a meeting this week. However, we strongly encourage you to contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible. We want to discuss your child’s development and collaborate on their educational journey. Please get in touch with the school office or your child’s teacher to arrange a convenient time to meet.

Teaching and Learning Highlights!
EYFS - Snack Time and Sing Time!
Children love stories from adults while they eat their snacks, absorbing not just the food but also the rich language, emotional connection, and foundational understanding of the world that stories provide.
Year 1 - Science Lesson on Sustainability
Growing and Cooking, took a delicious turn! We weren't just learning about plants – we were experiencing them! Roots, stems, leaves... they weren't just words on a page anymore. They became the stars of our herb omelet extravaganza! We discovered the secret lives of plants, one tasty bite at a time.
Dinosaur Discovery Week in Year 2!
This week, Year 2 took a deep dive into the world of dinosaurs! We kicked things off by learning a catchy dino song and started to unravel the mystery of fossils! We explored what fossils are and who studies them – paleontologists!
Our little paleontologists got their hands dirty as they dug for real-life dino fossils in the sandpit, finding dinosaur bones, teeth, and even skeletons! Then, they had the chance to make their own dino fossils using flour, salt, and water – the excitement was real!
We’ve also been reading exciting books like Dinosaur Bones and The Magic School Bus: In the Age of the Dinosaurs, which have sparked our imaginations even more!
Next week, Year 2 will write about the fossils they discovered and what these ancient treasures can tell us about dinosaurs! Can't wait to hear all their amazing findings!
Maths - Building Thinking Classrooms
From confusion to clarity - students learn how to think rather than how to memorise! Our maths students are embracing the Building Thinking Classrooms methodology, working together to conquer complex problems. This approach fosters communication, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
Year 9 - Rattanakosin Exhibition and the National Museum Trip
Year 9 students had the opportunity to go on a field trip to the Rattanakosin Exhibition and the National Museum. They learned about the royal duties of the Rama Kings during the Rattanakosin era, which demonstrated their selfless efforts to serve the people and promote the prosperity of the country. Additionally, they learned about Thai art and artifacts, reflecting the richness of Thai art and culture.
Year 7 & Year 9 - Humanities
Year 7 have started a new unit of work on the Vikings! 'Were they brutal raiders or were they also skilled traders and travellers?' This week we looked at Norse beliefs focusing on why they had such beliefs.
Here they are playing Viking Gods - Top Trumps!
Year 9 put themselves through an Earthquake drill this morning as part of their Restless Earth studies.
