A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our annual Parent Questionnaire! Your valuable feedback is incredibly important to us. We are currently reviewing all your responses, and a summary of the results will be shared with you before the end of the school year.

International Day 2025: A Global Celebration!
Once again, this week, our incredible St Andrews Samakee community brought the world to our school for International Day, May 2025! We are immensely grateful to our creative and supportive parents, grandparents, and carers, whose unwavering time, energy, enthusiasm, and commitment made the day truly spectacular.
The school buzzed with a fascinating array of vibrant and colourful costumes, delicious global cuisine, and engaging activities. As our children embarked on a journey to 11 remarkable countries, their curiosity was ignited, and we witnessed their understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures flourish. We sincerely hope this immersive experience has sparked a lifelong desire to explore the rich tapestry of peoples and cultures that make up our world.
A heartfelt thank you to every parent volunteer, grandparent, carer, staff member, and child who contributed to making this day an unforgettable celebration of global unity and learning. Thank you!
Parent Consultations
Next week, on May 27th and 29th, we are once again looking forward to Parent Consultations. This will be our third and final parent meeting for this academic year, and we hope you can attend. We provide a choice of virtual or face-to-face meetings, and you have been sent full details of how to book appointments via email.
Face-to-Face Parent Consultations - Tuesday, 27th May.
The face-to-face sessions will take place at school between 14:40 and 18:20.
Virtual Parent Consultations - Thursday, May 29th, from 15:40 to 19:00
We use Google Calendar Appointments for these virtual consultations.
Tuesday, 27th, and Thursday, May 29th, are regular school days; nevertheless, it is essential to note that due to Parent Consultations, no School Clubs/ECAs are scheduled on these days.
During the meetings, teachers will discuss your child’s progress in school this year. However, please note that although we have three scheduled meetings per academic year, we are always more than happy to meet with parents at any time if they have questions or concerns about their child. We look forward to talking with you.

30th - Y3 - Y9 Swim Gala - Upper School starts at 8:30 - Middle School starts at 9:00 - We welcome parents to come prepared to join a mixed staff/student/parent freestyle relay at the end of the event.

COVID-19 return-to-school regulations
Please note that our COVID-19 return-to-school regulations have been updated in line with new recommendations.
Children and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 may now return to school after five days, provided they are well and symptom-free. A negative ATK test is no longer required for their return.

Talent Show
What a show! On Wednesday, our talented students lit up the stage with incredible performances — from dancing and singing to piano, saxophone, and guitar. Each act was a celebration of creativity, confidence, and courage. We are so proud of every performer who stepped up and shared their talent with our school community! Thank you!
EYFS - Sliding Into Science: Exploring Slopes and Solutions
Two of our young scientists explored how the height of a slope affects the speed of sliding foam coins. They observed and compared how the coins moved at different angles, making thoughtful predictions and discoveries along the way.
To manage the resulting mess, Miss Mo introduced a tray beneath the ramp. The children then took the lead, refining the setup together by testing and adjusting it to prevent the coins from bouncing out. This hands-on investigation highlighted their curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
KS1 Assembly - Explorers
Huge congratulations to our amazing young explorers for their captivating assembly, "Adventure Awaits!" They took us on incredible journeys across land, sea, and even to the stars!
A special highlight was their beautiful rendition of the traditional West African song "Funga Alafia",a joyful welcome performed with xylophones, glockenspiels, drums, and shakers. The vibrant music truly brought the spirit of exploration to life!
We are so proud of all the children for their hard work, creativity, and wonderful performance.
Year 3 Trip to The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture
Our Year 3 students recently embarked on an enriching educational trip to The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture, a visit that brought to life many of the topics they've been exploring in class. With curious minds and boundless enthusiasm, the children spent the day discovering how agriculture connects to history, science, and sustainability. The museum provided a fantastic, hands-on experience that complemented the students’ learning about food production, ecosystems, and traditional Thai farming practices. Well done, Year 3!
