STAMFORD GRADUATE LEGACY PHOTO PROJECT
Longtime residents may remember the historical eighth-grade class photos that once hung in the case in the school gym and may still lament that the pictures were taken down a few years ago. As part of Leo Ethier Week, the student council began working to bring the history of our school back on display and began compiling the photo collection to create a new display. Walking through the hallways now, you will see the restored photo gallery. However, it was discovered that we have been missing photos for specific years and are looking to our community to help fill the gaps! Many of you may have your treasured class photos from your 8th grade graduating year tucked away in a photo album or a shoe box in your attic. If you have a copy of the class photo from one of the "missing years," we'd love to borrow a few minutes to scan it to make a new print to join our display. You can stop by the school during regular school hours, and we can scan and return your treasured school photo within a few minutes! Below is a list of the school years for which we are missing the grade 8 graduating class photos:
1961-62 1962-63 1965-66
1967-68 1969-70 1970-71
1971-72 1972-73 1974-75
1975-76 1978-79 2003-04
2004-05 2007-08 2010-11
2011-12 2016-17
Every photo tells a story—and we want to tell them all. Thank you for helping us celebrate our school’s legacy, one picture at a time!
