The policy recognizes the potential benefits and risks associated with generative AI and directs the Superintendent to develop a regulation governing the use of generative AI in Stafford Schools.

The regulation includes the strategic guidelines for use of generative AI.

The way we have chosen to mitigate cheating is not to ban generative AI, but to set expectations for how it can be used in an assignment and to have conversations with students so they learn appropriate use of AI.
