There is a program at Stafford High School that very few people have heard of and it’s the

only one of it’s kind in the area. It’s called the BOOTS pprogram and it’s preparing students for

careers in construction trades. We are currently completing our 25th house and this our 30th

anniversary of the program. If you aren't familiar with the program, this is a self sufficient

program building homes in the Stafford area with students from the 5 high schools. The SCVEF

(Stafford County Vocational Education Foundation) is our parent organization that runs START

and BOOTS. BOOTS (Bringing Occupational Opportunities To Students) is the program building

houses. The program is centered at SHS but students from the other 4 high schools are bused to SHS.
