Select the database that lines up with your general interest
Topic Lists
Browse Topics
Category listing - topics divided into popular interest headings
Alphabetical listing
Click on the topic that is interesting
Select the overview article located at the top of the resources page

Open your article by clicking on the hypertext title in the resource page
Open a new tab in the same web browser
Login to NoodletTools
Username: last name+first initial+2 digit graduation year
Password: nhsd+lunch code

Create a new project
Name = subject of research
Style=MLA
Level=Advanced
Look for project in project list and click on the project to open it.
Look for the citation button (see picture to the right of this text box)
CITATION TOOLS window will pop up
Look under Export To and select Noodletools
Import Sources window will pop up, make sure that your project appears under select project section. If not, use the drop down and select your project
Click on blue IMPORT button
After you see a green box with 1 citation imported into project close the Import Sources Tab
Click on the main Noodletools tab
Refresh the tab to see your new source
Find the citation for your source and click on the three dots at the end of the citation.
Select edit
Go to the Annotation Field at the bottom of the Noodletools citation creator.
Number your source.
The first source is 1
The next source is 2 and the rest are numbered in order that you find them
DO NOT REPEAT SOURCE NUMBERS
Format should be: SOURCE:1 , SOURCE 2, SOURCE 3............
You will use source numbers for note taking
After you have found all of your sources, taken notes, and written your paper, you can create a final Works Cited:
Delete any sources that you have not used or copy used sources into a new project
Export the sources from the project to a Google Doc. Click on the box with an arrow
Link your School Google Account to your Noodletools Account - Read the screens and give permission.
