This is a Skills ONLY event
Feb 3 (2/3)
We will be limited in only being able to send 3 teams to any of these events. The good news is that it can be any combination of 3 teams and any of the events. It doesn't have to be the same 3 teams each time

All of my examples of how Competition Day flows is based on the FCV events. I am not suggesting that you should only participate in FCV events, or that their set-up is the only way a competition can be run. Fortunately, they are all quite similar, and I have a lot of video and picture examples from FCV to give you a complete feel of a competition.
Here is the Overall Layout for FCV events.
The front office door is #1...........................................................................Door 3 is where the FCV student pick-up/dropoff is. Majority of the parking is back by this door.
In between matches, your team will make their way over the the auditorium.
All teams need to wait in line for an Interview (Take your Robot and your notebook).
All teams *should* complete 3 Driving Skill Rounds (The board is all yours for a full 60 seconds!)
and 3 programming skills (Put your code to work! Your scores will be averaged and comprise the "Skills" portion of your team's score for competition day.
The Cafeteria serves as the "Pits". Each team will have their own section of table.....the tables are narrower than what are in my classroom. IT GETS CROWDED in here. STUDENTS AND MENTORS ONLY (or parent stopping past to deliver a quick message).
Notice that the "Check-In" table is here. Check in is simply getting your name checked on a list, and receiving a sticker to put on your license plate to show that you have checked in.
The yellow arrow that says "Queing" is where teams will go to line up for competition. About 10 times will que at a time. Volunteers are back there to keep everyone organized. BEST BEHAVIOR IS A MUST! No parents allowed!
Competition takes place in the Gym. Specators will sit in the bleachers.
Teams enter and exit from their own sets of doors.
There are 4 fields set up. 2 teams per field. So, there are 8 teams on the floor at any given time. The rounds last only 60 seconds.
Remember, these teams are alliances. You are working together to get as many points as possible.
