Day 1: April 6,2020

Reading:

• Spend 5 minutes practicing word study routines.

• After reading the book, retell the story including the beginning, middle, and end.

• Verbal or written retelling of the story to parents

Day 2: April 7, 2020

Math:

• Solve 2 problems from the choices in this link. Share your work with a family member.
• Mystery Number: Parent selects a number between 1 and 100. The student will ask questions to narrow down the mystery number. It is a good idea to use paper to record information (ex. number line, 100 chart, etc.) Reveal the mystery number and discuss how students knew that was the number. Detailed information

Day 3: April 8, 2020

• After reading the book, describe the main character and the reasons for their actions.

Work to be turned in for Reading:

• Verbal or written response describing the main character and the reasons for their actions and where the story takes place to parents

Math:

• Today’s Number: Using the number 24, have the student create representations of the number (draw a picture showing 24, use ten frames, etc.) Explain your work to a family member.
• Recite numbers forward and backward to 120 starting with any number (ex. say 39 and students count 40, 41, etc.)

Day 4: April 9,2020

Math:

• Complete an Istation lesson OR solve 2 different problems from the choices in this link. Share your work with a family member.
• Using the numbers 38 and 29, describe which number is greater than or less than. How do you know? Record your work in a journal.
