Pine Creek's Choirs have built a reputation of excellence within our community. Our mission is to educate student musicians to read and perform music at an advanced level while developing their lifelong passion for music. There are six award winning choirs at Pine Creek: Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Festival Singers, Fusion, Nuance, and Women's Ensemble.

In 2019 all of the Pine Creek Choirs received Superior ratings at the CHSAA Large Group Festival for the 21st year in a row. The Pine Creek Choirs continue to amaze and delight audiences with over 30 performances in the community, local businesses, and schools.

Our Choirs

The Choir’s mission is to educate student musicians to read and perform music at an advanced level while developing their lifelong passion for music. The choir directors, Dan and Heidi, are proud to offer a robust choral program. They teach four traditional ensembles: Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Chamber Singers, and Festival Singers as well as two contemporary a cappella groups Fusion and Nuance, plus three levels of Guitar, Class Piano, and AP Music Theory.

Our Directors

Dan Jeppson earned his Master of Arts in Education and Bachelors of Music Education. Dan has taught at Pine Creek High School since 1998 when the school first opened. He conducts the Festival Singers, Chamber Singers, contemporary a cappella groups, in addition to teaching Student Council, Class Piano, and AP Music Theory. Under his direction Pine Creek’s choirs have scored superior ratings at Large Group Festivals and have performed for the Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic/Conference in 2002, 2003 and 2009.

Heidi Lopez earned her Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix and her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Heidi has taught at Pine Creek High School since 2005. She conducts the Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, contemporary a cappella groups, in addition to teaching three levels of Guitar and Class Piano. Under her direction Pine Creek’s choirs have scored Superior at CHSAA Large Group Festivals.
