About Computers and Technology

Computers & Technology

St. Gabriel School strives to prepare students for tomorrow’s opportunities and challenges through the use of cutting edge technology, thereby encouraging students to become productive contributors to society through teaching, learning, leading, and serving.

The technology infrastructure consists of a fully networked school, both wired and wireless. The Grizzly Learning Den provides space for collaborative learning, text/digital media, and STEM learning opportunities. Students in Jr K-Grade 2 have 1:1 personal devices available in their rooms while scholars in grades 3-8 all have Chromebooks issued to them for school and home use. Each classroom is also equipped with interactive electronic white boards and projectors, and amplification systems. Google Apps for Education are taught and used.

Teachers are continually acquiring professional development and training in technology. All teachers have web pages, email access, and training to use the SMART boards, ACTIV boards, ActivPanels, Google Apps for Education, and all devices available for use in the building. The Student Information System, FACTS, provides for a student database, online grade books and enhanced communications between home and school. Google Classroom is also implemented across grade levels along with online programs Seesaw, My Math, Science Fusion, and Moby Max.
