Science by Murphy

Remote Learning Information

During the time period of remote learning please use the landing page for your course, not individual section pages. All work will be assigned, submitted and returned via google classroom. Assignments will be assessed as quickly as possible on a rolling basis. I will be available for "office hours" when students request a time, they simply need to reach out via email to set something up (phone call, video chat, email exchange, etc). I will be checking emails frequently during normal school hours.

A little bit about Ms. Murphy...

She is a native Austinite and graduated from McCallum High School where she was an active member of band, marching band, volleyball and the national honor society. Upon graduating, she moved all the way to Florida to attend Eckerd College in St. Petersburg where she studied marine science and environmental studies. While at Eckerd Ms. Murphy was blessed to be able to travel to Bimini, Bahamas to visit the Bimini Biological Field Station to study sharks. She also was able to go to Ecuador and the Galapagos to observe the country's rich natural history and her final adventure at Eckerd was a trip to Havana, Cuba to create relationships with local organizations focused on service work. After graduating college and working in Florida it was time to move back to the great state of Texas and began her teaching career at Rouse HS in Leander, where she taught for 5 years. This will be her 2nd year as a Spartan here at St. Stephen's Episcopal School. She has taught Physics, Biology, AP Environmental Science and Principles of Biomedical Science. She is looking forward to another great year!
