E-Learning Day assignments will be given in paper copy to my students the beginning of October. The alternate E-Learning assignment from me for Reading is to read the selection I email the students from our SRA reading book. The written assignment needs to be at least 8 complete sentences in length and it need to include at least 4 of the vocabulary words found on the top of the reading assignment. This will be a written summary of the story students have read. Math assignment is to spend 15 minutes on an IXL (grades 5-8) area of their choice. Students need to email me what they did on IXL. These assignments are due no later than 2:45 pm on our E-Learning Day. For students without internet access this is due the following school day by 3 pm. These may be repeated as needed but different Reading selections will be assigned to students on their school email account and different IXL problems must be used each time! Students in Study Skills or Orgnizational Skills need to email me as to what they did today for each class. Again, all assignments are due to me no later than 2:45 pm on our E-Learning Day(s).

Classroom Expectations

I am a lifelong learner and believe that everyone can learn! I expect my students to be respectful of themselves and others. Being respectful includes using appropriate language and tone while speaking. I expect my students to complete work in my classroom as well as to do work assigned by other teachers. I will help my students to be organized so they can be successful in all of their classes. I expect my students to be on task and to give work their best effort on a daily basis. I will have my students complete work while in my classroom so they will not have homework from my classes. I do expect my students to do homework (at home) from their other teachers on a regular (daily) basis. This includes completing E-Learning assignments on time as well.
