Flex and At Home students: All students are expected to come prepared to class. This includes wearing school appropriate attire and having materials ready for learning. At home/flex learners are required to do assignments at home for each class. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we need to use Social Distancing for our students and using the Hybrid Learning Model is one way to do this.

E-Learning Day assignments will be given on the computer to my students the third week of October. The E-Learning assignment from me for Reading is to read the selection I email the students from our SRA reading book, complete the written work and email me their completed assignment on our E -Learning Day. The written assignment needs to be at least 8 complete sentences in length and it needs to include at least 4 of the vocabulary words found on the top of the reading assignment. This will be a written summary of the story students have read. The Math assignment is to spend 15 minutes on an IXL (grades 5-8) area of their choice. Students need to email me what they did on IXL. For students in Organizational Skills /Study Skills class they will need to email me what they did for all of their assignments for each E Learning Day. These assignments are due no later than 2:45 pm on our E-Learning Day. For students without internet access these are due to me no later than two school days following each E Learning Day by 3 pm. These assignments may be repeated as needed but different Reading selections will be assigned to students on their school email account and different IXL problems must be used each time! Again, all assignments are due to me no later than 2:45 pm on our E-Learning Day(s).

Classroom Expectations

I am a lifelong learner and believe that everyone can learn! I expect my students to be respectful of themselves and others. Being respectful includes using appropriate language and tone while speaking. I expect my students to complete work in my classroom as well as to do work assigned by other teachers. I will help my students to be organized so they can be successful in all of their classes. I expect my students to be on task and to give work their best effort on a daily basis. I will have my students complete work while in my classroom so they will not have homework from my classes. I do expect my students to do homework (at home) from their other teachers on a regular (daily) basis. This includes completing E-Learning assignments on time as well. As noted on this web page, I will have E Learning Day assignments for all of my classes which will be graded.
