Creative Writing

aka Reader's Choice, Writer's Voice

Mrs. Booth has taught Creative Writing, Reading Workshop and Language Arts at E.T. Richardson for the last eighteen years. After graduating from West Chester University, where she majored in Elementary Education and minored in Reading, she was thrilled to be hired at her alma mater - Springfield School District. Mrs. Booth has been involved with SSD on many levels from serving on leadership teams to coaching the varsity volleyball team at SHS and the 8th grade girls lacrosse team at ETR. When she is not at school Mrs. Booth loves spending time with her family, being at the beach, thinking of new ways to decorate her house, gardening, cooking, reading and catching up on her favorite TV show - Grey's Anatomy!

❶ Creative Writing is a Special Area class so due dates will not appear on individual team calendars. Due dates for each grade level can be found by navigating to the appropriate page (See top right corner).

❷ Students in Creative Writing earn letter grades. Student progress is regularly updated in HAC. A "GP" (grade pending) indicates that the assignment has been submitted, but not yet graded. The assignment is not yet factored into the student's average. A "0" indicates that the assignment has not been submitted.

❸ The majority of the projects that students work on in class are multi-step, and if a student is absent, they are expected to be caught up before the next class (Creative Writing meets every other day).
