Title I Reading

Welcome to Title I Reading Support

Our Title I Reading Program benefits students in grades second through fifth by offering extra support in literacy. It is designed to meet individual student needs by offering small group instruction at their individual guided reading level. The primary focus is to increase fluency, vocabulary development, and comprehension. Depending on the needs of the student, additional areas of focus may include decoding and encoding strategies as well. This extra reading support will help students learn in a more meaningful way both now and long-term.

What is Title I?

The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education, while providing the skills and strategies on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments (U.S. Department of Education). The Title I program can provide your child with extra educational assistance beyond the classroom.
