SRVHS PTSA awards grants to qualifying student clubs. To obtain a grant, the club must fill out an application form, explain how the money will be used, and provide a detailed estimate of costs and expenses.
Applications must be approved by the club’s advisor.
Funding for grants will be approved by the SRVHS PTSA Student Club Grant committee and distributed by the ASB/ASB Advisor.
Expenditures must go through and follow ASB’s requirements and processes unless otherwise arranged with PTSA.
A brief report explaining how the funds were used is due by May 12, 2024.
Keep all receipts as proof of expenses (photos/electronic copies ok).

Failure to complete the report will make the club ineligible for a grant next year.
SRVHS PTSA Club Grants are restricted to materials, items and fees used directly by a club to support club members and the club mission. This may include equipment, supplies, competition entry fees, etc. We will not cover salaries or stipends for staff or students.

The club president (or another club board member) must be an SRVHS PTSA member

The club should support the mission of PTA to positively impact the lives of all children and families.
NOTE: All clubs that receive funds will be required to submit a report about how the funds were used prior to the end of the school year. Failure to submit a report may make the club ineligible for future funding.
SRVHS PTSA Club Grants are available to fund activities that further the purposes of the club with an emphasis on activities that will serve the SRVHS community. The awarding of club grants is solely at the discretion of the SRVHS PTSA Student Club Grant Committee.
SRVHS PTSA Student Club grants will be awarded according to need and information provided by applicants. In general, awards will be up to $250, though applicants may apply for a greater amount and make their case for such funding in the application.

After you submit the application...
You will receive a copy of your grant request after submission.
FORWARD your request to your club advisor for approval. Ask them to email ClubGrants@srvhsptsa.org to acknowledge they have reviewed and approve of the request.
We canNOT proceed without this confirmation.
Applications will be reviewed in early November and all applicants will receive a response by November 22, 2024
In most cases, funds will be disbursed through ASB. As such, expenses must follow all ASB rules and requirements for acceptable use of ASB funds. Some requests may be purchased directly by SRVHS PTSA if it cannot be accommodated via ASB regulations.
Expenditures must go through and follow ASB’s rules, requirements and processes. Clubs will submit the normal ASB check request/purchase order forms to the ASB for review and approval.
Grants money cannot be used for gift cards.
Money cannot be used to give directly to someone else. For instance, PTSA cannot give a student club grants money to donate to a homeless shelter. We could give money to the students to use to buy supplies for a fundraiser or homeless awareness event. The idea is for students to fund a student activity.
Money cannot be used to buy snacks for normal student club meetings. (Could be used to fund food for a special event.)
Grant money can only be used to support the approved grant items and/or programs.
All funds must be spent within the academic year prior to April 30, 2024 unless prior arrangements have been made. Remaining funds must be returned to SRVHS PTSA.
