JULIE ELLIS

I have lived in Scripps Ranch since 1997 and a member of the club since 2002. I was a board member for approximately 6 years and enjoyed being a part of the board hiring Tal as General Manager of the club. Both my children attended the preschool at the aviary location and thrived. My family enjoys the club amenities and events. I am an attorney and believe that both my work and life experiences can be of benefit to the club.

SCOTT GOULD

My name is Scott Gould and I am seeking a position on the SRSRC Board of Directors.

My wife, Karen, and I have lived in Scripps Ranch and been active members of the Scripps Ranch Swim & Racquet Club since 1999. We raised our son and daughter here and have many fond memories of BBQ's, birthdays and other get-togethers at both Aviary and Trails. Our children attended many of the camps growing up. Our daughter worked as a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons at both locations.

I retired from the County of San Diego after 29 years as an investigator - the last 12 years as a civil litigation investigator. I have served on and held a variety of positions on numerous investigative associations and charitable organizations throughout my career.

As the Club membership grows, I would like to contribute and give back by serving on the Board. My priority would be to ensure we maintain the quality of the facilities and activities for the continued enjoyment of the members and success of the SRSRC.

BOB GRAHAM

Hello, my name is Bob Graham. My wife Terry and our four boys (now young men) joined the Club in May of 2000. After 24 years, we continue to enjoy all the benefits of this amazing family friendly environment.

I am usually at our Club daily; interacting with club members, participating in fitness classes or enjoying one of our many outdoor facilities.

My goal is to pay it forward for our current and next generation of members. I will actively engage with you over the next two years to provide feedback to the Board on any issues and thoughts for future enhancements.

I am currently in my 36th year with Prudential Financial. Pertinent skills include operations management and budget forecasting.

Thank you for your consideration for the Board position. I look forward to serving on your behalf.

Bob Graham

ERIC HOFFMANN

Long before becoming a member, I knew the Club was a special place from hearing about the fun times my wife Kristin enjoyed here as a kid in the 1970s. Over the years, our family has benefited from the wide range of activities on offer - swimming lessons and Squids workouts, kid and teen camps, tennis, racquetball and now pickleball, Happy Hours and Oktoberfests. (Last year, I was a serious contender in the stein holding contest! In the rain!) Kristin and I frequently spend time at the club, from morning pool classes to evening pickleball matches. The club has become very important to us as a center for keeping fit as well as to connect with our many friends in the community.

Background:

- Bachelor’s, Mechanical Engineering, UC Berkeley

- Master’s, Nuclear Engineering, University of Idaho

- MBA, Carnegie Mellon University

- Initial career - project management for the US Department of Energy, overseeing engineering projects, facilities management and energy research and development.

- Subsequent career - management consulting at Sapient and KPMG, advising companies on information technology, business efficiency and corporate strategy, with international postings in Germany and the UK.

After retiring from the corporate world, I was able to devote time to community activities like coaching our boys’ soccer teams and volunteering in the Jerabek School garden. As our kids go off to college, I have nurtured a passion for horticulture and landscaping, starting a business to advise clients on home orchards, as well as helping manage a number of social media groups on gardens and horticulture.

It has been my privilege to serve on the Board for the last 4 years and as Treasurer for the last 2. I look forward to continue working with the Board and Tal to help the Club on its upward trajectory by contributing my experience and ideas. Select highlights:

- Helping steer the Club through significant economic pressures over the last 4 years

- Ensuring our limited funds are used most wisely to maintain and improve the club

- Working with our auditors to ensure our financial statements are in proper order

- Highlighting results of the Reserve Study to focus the Club on near term liabilities

- Driving a focus on financial data with Management and the Board

- Driving participation by organizing online groups for pickleball

Thank you for considering me for the Board for our great club!

DAN ORNELAS

I have been on the SRSRC Board of Directors for the past eleven years serving as Treasurer, Vice-President and now President of the Board for the past 7 years. I’ve been a Scripps Ranch home owner for the past 41 years raising three daughters in this wonderful community. My wife Bev and I have been members of SRSRC the entire time. I’m a retired traffic/small claims judge (commissioner) having sat on the superior court for 25 years. I have served on the Governor’s Judicial Council Committees and faculty of the National Judicial College, served as both chairman of the rec council and President of Scripps Ranch Youth Soccer and have been an Old Pro for 37 years. Since serving on the Board we have improved the club with fire places/barbeques in the lounge areas at both Aviary and Trails, added solar panels to reduce electric costs, remodeled the entry and lobby, modernized equipment in the gym, moving much of it outside, put in the pickleball courts, improved lighting on the tennis courts and opened the back lot for parking, while keeping the club in a good financial condition so we were able to retain essential employees and still reduce dues during the pandemic crisis. I would like to continue to bring my years of experience and decision making to keep SRSRC the centerpiece of our community. Please consider me again for this position.

ROB ROBBINS

Our family joined the Club in 1998, and I’ve been very pleased to serve as Board Member since 2009. We chose Scripps Ranch for the family atmosphere, and we’ve never been disappointed. Our SRSR Club is a pivotal part of our community and we want to see it continue to thrive. I firmly opposed the last increase in membership – because it was unnecessary financially and increases overcrowding in classes, courts and parking. My goal is always to preserve and improve the welfare of our Members through safe, smart, compassionate and quantifiable determinations.

PERSONNEL - We have an amazing team. In the time since COVID we are back offering our full range of activities with a specialized and loyal staff. I’m guided by compassion for our staff and fiscal responsibility to our Members.

FACILITY – We continue to maintain Club infrastructure and take opportunities to address certain planned maintenance and defer others. With revenues finally returning to pre-COVID levels, we are able to address more projects like solarizing some more roofs, and enhancing court availability. We recently contracted out for landscaping at less cost and more professional results.

FINANCIAL – Our Club is in an excellent position. We will be able to fund court rehabilitation at Trails and a pickleball expansion in the next 2 years. For the first time in the Club history (I believe), we have no debt !

SAFETY – We are determined to respond responsibly and swiftly to ensure a safe environment for all activities. – courts, gym, pool and classes.

My wife and I visit the Club multiple days per week for pickleball, tennis and pool time, so we both see and hear a lot from Members. I like following up on ideas for improving our Club and addressing maintenance issues. As a retired Navy Supply Corps Officer, accountability is core. I also operated a San Diego biotech and now help other businesses in successful project execution. I have time and interest to continue bringing my experience and outlook to our Club. Please vote for me to continue representing you. Rob Robbins

JULIE ROBINSON

My family and I have been deeply involved in the Scripps Ranch community for over 26 years. Don and I enjoyed raising our two children in Scripps and cherish the club and the amazing community it supports. As a Board member, my professional experience will be of great benefit including skills in financials, budgeting, marketing, communication and customer outreach.

- As a Board member, my commitments are to: Maintain the SRSRC's esteemed status within the community, enhance member experiences, ensure fiscal responsibility, support the GM and staff with challenging issues and convey fresh ideas and member feedback.

- I look forward to the opportunity to aid the SRSRC in uniting families and neighbors through health, trust, and social enjoyment.

Thanks for your vote! Julie Robinson
