 Mr. Prakash. K is a material researcher who works in the field of Supercapacitors and solar cell and functional materials. As a Research Scholar, he joined SRM IST (formerly known as SRM University), the Functional Materials and Energy Devices research laboratory, in December 2018.  He completed his master’s and bachelor’s in physics from Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya college of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. He is experienced in fabricating nanomaterials through physical and chemical routes. In FMED he is experienced and equipped on handling the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, UV-Visible spectroscopy and fabricating the asymmetric supercapacitor devices. Prakash’s focus of research is in modifying the material properties of MoS2 based 2-D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) for energy storage application. He presented his research in many reputed conferences and workshops and won awards.
