Marilyn Hurtado was born in Fort Bragg and moved to Windsor when she was sixteen. After high school, Marilyn attended Dominican University of California where she obtained her B.A. in Women and Gender Studies and minor in Psychology. While in college, she and her now husband started their own landscaping business, where she managed and worked hands-on until finishing her studies.

Marilyn is a mother of four who loves spending time with her family and taking trips with them to see new places.
