In Creating a Work Profile
A work profile keeps your personal and work apps and data separate on a device. Creating a work profile is recommended so that your administrator doesn’t accidentally delete your personal apps or data from your device.
If prompted to create a work profile, tap Accept & continue.
Tap Next and follow the prompts to set up your work profile.
If prompted to set a screen lock for your device, tap Start and follow the steps.
Tap Install > Next to install work apps.
Tap Done.
If you created a work profile on your device, work apps are marked with a Briefcase. You might see work apps on your home screen. You can also access all work apps from your work profile.
Accessing your work profile vary from different devices. In your device, all Personal and Work applications are grouped. Make sure to install your work or school Google applications using Google Play Store that is marked with a Briefcase. After that, you are all set.
The school ICT can set security policies on your device to protect data and make the device more secure. They can also erase work data from your device if you lose it.
You may encounter some errors while setting up your account like your device is requiring a code provided by the IT admin to proceed but you should not be prompted for this. You might have installed Android Device Policy App using your personal Google Play Store.
Solution 1:
Completely remove your work or school account through your Settings. Remove it from your work or personal profile.
Add again your work or school Google Workspace account and follow the steps given above.
Solution 2:
Completely uninstall Gmail app.
Completely uninstall Google Android Device Policy app if previously downloaded it.
Reinstall Gmail app.
Restart the configuration process from the beginning.
Another resolve for this is to check if you already have an existing Work Profile. You can only have one Work Profile in a device.
For OPPO devices:
Make sure to free up device storage with at least 8G.
Go back to your work or school account. If prompted, select Take Action.
Work profile creating will then proceed.
