About Me
Hello, I'm Ms. Chau and I am a middle school mathematics teacher at South Pasadena Middle School. I went to college at UC Irvine, where I studied Public Health Sciences in my first four years. I loved UC Irvine so much that I went back for my master's degree in Teaching and my credential in Secondary Mathematics.
I am passionate about student growth. I believe that wherever students are at academically, they can learn more than they could even imagine as long as they work hard, persist, and have support from those who care about them, like their friends, parents, and teachers. I have worked hard to learn more on how to best meet students' individual needs and how to engage students so that learning math can be fun!
I am a SoCal native, born and raised in the 626! I love finding new places to explore and to eat at around the area. In my free time, I like to cook, exercise, and read. I have five cats and one dog, who is deaf and blind (and very spoiled :)).
I also love to travel to other countries and learn about their culture! So far, I have been to Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Macau, Cambodia, and Hong Kong. I would like to visit Europe one day to visit some famous museums.
