Musical Enrichment

Suffield's location between Hartford and Springfield puts ample opportunities for musical enrichment beyond what is offered in the traditional school setting just a short drive away. We encourage you to check out these opportunities for your young musician below!

Each year, the Connecticut Music Educators Association hosts an auditioned festival made up of students from across Northern Connecticut. Students prepare for an audition in early January and the two-day festival, which concludes with a concert for family and friends, usually takes place in mid-march. Private lessons are encouraged, but not required, if your child would like to audition for regionals. The 2017/2018 audition for bands can be found here, and vocal audition information can be found here.
