Welcome to Cherokee!

At Cherokee Middle School, the counselors are here to welcome, support, encourage, and empower your student.

We are available to provide short term individual counseling with students, facilitate small groups, and conduct classrooms lessons with a focus on career/personal/social/academic issues.

Any new student to Cherokee, please fill out a physical form and take it to the main office, or email it to your student's counselor. Email links are below.

7th grade students can apply for the Health Sciences Academy. To learn more about this program, please click here. Applications close December 2nd.

A little bit about Mrs. Hall


Mrs. Hall has served as a middle-school counselor for 13 years and has been in education for more than twenty. She received her undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and her master’s degree from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs.


She has been married to her husband David for 18 years. They have a 14-year-old son, Waylon and an 11-year old son, Tyus. They relocated from Colorado to Missouri last year and enjoy travel, trivia, boating, and mountain biking.

Ms. Massengale has been with SPS for 7 years, she has a Bachelor in History and a Masters in Counseling from Missouri State University.


She has a 9 year old daughter. She and her daughter enjoy sports, music, travel and spending time with family.
