Click the blue button to the right to register for sessions unless it is noted below not to use Employee Self Service. Once logged in, select the tab labeled “Training Opportunities” from the menu on the left side to see a full list of available trainings. Then enroll in sessions you wish to attend. Hourly rate of pay is $26.

Adaptive Schools
The goal of Adaptive Schools is to develop our collective identity as collaborators, inquirers, and leaders. Leaders can engage with their Guiding Coalition teams. Leaders are encourage to attend again with site teams even if they have already attended.

The goal of learning Cognitive Coaching is to develop the skills of a mediator, who can, in turn, help to develop the capacities for self-directedness in others.

SPS Access Class
This unique learning opportunity for up to 40 certified educators and leaders enhances community awareness, builds meaningful connections with other SPS teachers and community networks, increases knowledge of community resources available to support SPS students and families, and raises consciousness of future opportunities available to SPS students after graduation. This will take place seated at a location in the community.

AVMR
This training includes certification from US Math Recovery Council. It provides in-depth training in numeracy progressions, whole class instruction and intervention in the domains of number words and numerals, structuring, and addition and subtraction. Cooperative Learning
Actively engage your learners to transform your classroom and your students’ achievement! By the end of these three days, participants will be able to explain the difference between cooperative learning and group work. Teachers will also walk away with over 20 structures that can be used with any content. Cooperative learning creates fun classrooms where students experience communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity every day. **Capacity guidelines may determine how many participants are allowed to attend this training.** Point of contact: Myki Williamson.

Springfield Regional Arts Conference
The Springfield Regional Arts Integration Conference brings together educators in southwest Missouri to learn about arts integration strategies for classroom implementation. Utilizing “Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts” teaching artists and educators from the Springfield region, you will learn more about the role arts integration can play in both arts and core classroom settings. LEAD Forward Institute is designed for site leaders and guiding coalitions. The two-day learning is designed to dive deeply into PLCs while setting the course for productive site professional learning for the coming school year through action planning and professional learning teams.

7 Steps to an Interactive Langugage Rich Classroom
This innovative training will help all teachers transform their classrooms into vibrant spaces where students can use academic language to talk, read, write, and think about each lesson’s content. This 7 Steps training outlines a dynamic process for structuring, planning, and facilitating a language-rich classroom. In addition,. participants gain knowledge of helpful ways to integrate both content and language standards when planning instruction. They also receive specific strategies for differentiating instruction so that all learners within the classroom can build their ability to discuss and communicate academic concepts effectively.
