Social Studies
with Mrs. Isham!

I've been teaching 7th grade for 10 years, with the last 5 being here at Springport Middle School. I'm so excited to have my DREAM job! From kindergarten to graduation, I attended Springport Schools, and I think it's a great place to live, work, and raise my own kids.

Why social studies? Because I LOVE learning about other cultures, people, and places in the world, and I can't wait to help you have fun learning! I like to include many types of activities and learning styles to help make social studies enjoyable, especially for those who have never liked it.

For fun, the Ishams love to play games (Code Names is a favorite!), go for hikes and bike rides (we love nature), and travel and have adventures. I also love to read some historical fiction and nonfiction books about life and biographies of people who overcame great odds (like Helen Keller). I also really enjoy taking beautiful pictures in nature when I hike!
