A kind welcome to all students,

We have started a new school year and some of you will come to school on Mondays and Tuesdays, some on Thursdays and Fridays, while some will be attending and working from home (distance learners). To provide you with the basic information a letter from the Specials teachers is posted below, followed by our September schedule for grades K-8 and the Google Classroom Codes. I have also attached a letter, from Mr. Lehman, our technology specialist (update pending as of 9/14/2020).

Technology Information:

Welcome to the Sayles School Technology Support site! My name is Mr. Lehmann - or Mr. Fred as most of the students know me. I am pleased that you stopped by my page and hope you find it informative and helpful. If you have a technology problem or question and would like help, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I work at the school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from about 8:45 to 3:45. I do check my e-mail when I am not in and will respond to urgent problems as soon as possible.

If you experience problems getting into Google Classroom:

Dear Parents,

Help for Borrowing Chromebooks

As of this morning (4/2/20), the First and Second grade students now have Sayles School Google accounts that they can use to login to Chromebooks from the school. These accounts can also be used to log into Google Classroom and other Educational apps that are compatible with Google’s Educational Suite.

If Chromebooks are new to you, just open it up and push the power button in the upper right corner. It will take a few seconds to start up. Look for your child’s name in the list of students who have already signed into the Chromebook you have. If their name is in the list, click on the name and enter their password. If their name is not in the list, click on the Add Person button at the bottom of the screen. Enter your child’s username as instructed below and then their password. Click through the prompts to agree to the licensing and you are all set!

For all students in grades 1 through 8, your username is the year of your graduation from 8th grade – i.e. if your child is in 8th grade now, the first two digits of their username will be 20. If they are in the 5th grade, the first two digits will be 23. The rest of their username is their first initial followed by their last name. To complete the username everyone uses “@spraguek12.org” (sans quotes) after their last name.

The password for all first and second grade accounts is “Dogbone20” (sans quotes). This is case sensitive so the “D” must be entered in UPPERCASE. Sorry for the length but the password has to meet certain complexity requirements.

For Pre-K and K students, there is a single shared user account that you can use to log them into the Chromebooks or any online application requiring a Google account. The username is DLEARNER@SPRAGUEK12 (uppercase is for ease of reading). The password for this account is also Dogbone20 (this is case sensitive).

If your child cannot remember their password, you can e-mail me directly at techsupport@spraguek12.org or call me at the school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 860-822-8264 x141. I am generally here from about 8:45 to 3:45.
