Our curriculum has been purposefully designed so that every student can engage in learning opportunities to achieve academic and personal excellence. Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Literacy, and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics are emphasised across our curriculum. Our courses allow for a range of authentic opportunities to demonstration deep thinking and learning. Learning has been designed to allow for personalised pathways across a range of programmes.
Our School runs on a weekly timetable and the school year is divided into two semesters (except for year 11 students as they have full year courses). The timetable structure below show where all the Learning Areas are situated in the senior timetable (i.e Literacy, Numeracy,, Learning Programme 2, etc). Each Learning Area will have a range of different courses for students to select from.
Senior Timetable Structure (Year 11-Year 13)
Clicking this link will take you to our Spotswood College SchoolPoint platform where our 2026 courses are displayed. Here you will find the list of Learning Areas that make up our junior and senior timetable.
Students need to make ONE course selection from each Learning Area situated in their relevant 2026 timetable. Year 11 Learning Areas run for the full year, and this is reflected in their name (i.e Senior Numeracy Level 1 (Full Year)).
Please note you only have to select semester 1 courses for year 12 or year 13. All year 11 courses are full year.
Click here to access a timetable template to record your selections. Make a copy of this and once it is complete email it to our Head of Department of International Students Marian Dingle (mdi@spotswoodcollege.school.nz)
Ka mau te wehi! Well done! You have finished. We are looking forward to seeing you at Spotswood College in 2026!
