Sporting Club Inkberrow (‘SCI’) is a UK Registered Charity with the aim of promoting community participation by providing facilities for sport and healthy recreation. Its core purpose is to improve social welfare regardless of youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances. First established in 1978 with the formation of the Senior Football Club, Cricket (1991) and Junior Football (2000) followed, and we moved from the village playing fields to our current site in 2009/10. The club has grown significantly since then, with continual investment in new teams, coaching and fantastic facilities.
As of today we have over 40 teams and 600 + participants playing sport our site, on which we have invested over £1.2m to create some the best sports facilities. in the local area.

Old Pavilion opened – Football Club shares with Bowls and Scouts
1991
Senior Cricket Club formed - Inkberrow CC (disbanded in early 2000s)
2000
Junior Football Club formed – Inkberrow Eagles FC
2004
FA Charter Standard status achieved
2005
Merger of Junior and Senior Football Clubs
2007
First ‘Ball‘ & ‘FestivALE’ held
2008
Sir Bobby Robson visits the football club
2009
First Girls Football Team formed (disbanded 2011)

New field leased and pitches laid with £158k Football Foundation (FF) and £10k Wychavon grants
2010
Cricket Square laid & Senior Cricket Club reformed
Football and Cricket played for the first time on the new pitches
Sporting Club Inkberrow becomes the umbrella organisation for all sports
2011
Netball section formed (disbanded in 2016)
2012
Saturday morning Café starts in the old pavilion
2013
Girls football section re-established
2016
New Pavilion build started
2017
Walking Football established – Veterans follow in 2018
New Pavilion opened – Café moves to new site and Bar opens for the first time
Junior Cricket section formed

Running Club formed & first hosted race held
Confirmation of s106 grant totalling £208k from housing developments in the village.
2019
Cricket artificial pitch laid, and mobile net, covers and sightscreen purchased
Sporting Club Inkberrow Ltd incorporated and Charitable status obtained
2020
New tractor & first attachments purchased (many more since)
Confirmation of FF grant totalling £302k enabling new pitches, pavilion extension & irrigation system
2021
Football is played on the new top pitches for the first time
2023
Senior Football first team promoted to Step 6 and Pitch 1 developments complete (Floodlight, Stands, Barriers and Hardstanding)
2024
New 9v9 3G pitch is completed
