Day-1 Today was my first day in Japan, and I was very excited! We boarded the plane at eight twenty. The feeling of weightlessness during the flight was hard for me to get used to. What impressed me the most was the Kobe Earthquake Memorial Museum. Watching the actual footage of the earthquake was shocking—many buildings collapsed, roads cracked, and everything looked devastating. It made me feel horrible. Another landmark we visited was the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the only suspension bridge in Japan that connects Kobe and Awaji Island. It was both beautiful and impressive, but it was also quite cold there.
今天是我第一次踏上日本的土地,心情既興奮又緊張。我們早上八點二十分登機,飛行過程中的失重感讓我感到有些不適應,但也別具體驗感。
今天最令我印象深刻的,是參觀「阪神淡路大震災紀念館」。在館內觀看當年地震的實際影像,讓我深受震撼——高樓倒塌、道路裂開、整座城市陷入一片混亂與毀壞,那樣的畫面令人難過,也讓我體會到自然災害的無情與可怕。
我們還參觀了著名的明石海峽大橋——這是連接神戶與淡路島的懸索橋,也是日本唯一的跨海大橋。壯觀的橋梁結構讓人嘆為觀止,站在橋上遠眺風景既壯麗又感受到冬日的寒意。
在充滿學習與驚奇的第一天中,我開始更加期待接下來的每一段探索。

Day 1- I woke up at 4 a.m., afraid that I might oversleep. At the airport, I even lost the top cover of my brand-new earphone case—so frustrating! After a long journey that included a flight, multiple transfers, and lots of waiting, we finally arrived in Osaka! Our first stop was the Disaster Prevention Center. We watched a powerful and shocking documentary about the 1995 Hanshin Earthquake. It was truly frightening. There were also photos and stories from victims of the disaster. Some teachers and classmates even wrote messages to them. It made me realize how important it is to take disaster drills seriously and always be prepared. Our second stop was the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge. The weather started to get colder, and the sea breeze made it feel freezing. But the view there was stunning, and the sky was clear—it instantly lifted my mood. I’ve always loved looking at the sea. Later, since our tour guide was in a great mood, we got the chance to visit a convenience store to grab some snacks for the night. We went to FamilyMart, though I was kind of hoping to visit Lawson instead. Everyone went on a shopping spree, and afterward, we headed back to the hotel. After we got to the hotel, we got ready to enjoy the hot spring in the evening.♨
第一天一早,我凌晨四點就醒來,深怕自己會睡過頭。結果才剛到機場,就不小心弄丟了全新耳機盒的上蓋,讓我一整個早上心情有點低落。
經過長時間的飛行、轉車與等待,我們終於抵達了大阪!我們的第一站是「兵庫縣防災未來館」。館內播放了一部關於 1995 年阪神大地震的紀錄片,內容真實震撼,讓人心生敬畏。除了影像資料,現場還展示了許多受災者的照片與故事,有些老師與同學也在留言區寫下了鼓勵的話語。這次參訪讓我深刻體會到平時演練的重要性——防災,不該只是形式,而是真正的準備。
接著我們來到壯觀的明石海峽大橋。當時天氣開始轉涼,海風吹來更是冷冽刺骨,但那片湛藍的天空與遼闊的海景,卻讓我的心情瞬間被治癒。我一直都很喜歡看海,那是一種難以言喻的療癒力量。
晚上因為導遊心情特別好,還臨時加碼帶我們去便利商店採購宵夜。我們去了 FamilyMart,雖然我原本比較想去 Lawson,不過大家還是買得非常開心。採購完後我們回到飯店,準備換上浴衣,享受溫泉時光♨,為充實又感動的第一天劃下完美句點。

今天⼀⼤早起床,我充滿期待地想要認識⽇本的學⽣,⼀到雲雀丘就看⾒⽼師跟學⽣熱情四射的⽤⼒揮舞著⼿跟我們打招呼,我們也十分開心地回應,雲雀丘學生們帶著我們介紹校內課程、社團、跟⽇常會做的事,其中我發現跟台灣不⼀樣的地方校園的入口就要換上拖鞋,難怪他們的地板如此乾淨,我最欣賞和想學習的是他們有⾃信且禮貌的談吐,學伴們都很有耐⼼的解釋校內的各種設施,就算聽不懂也願意⽤⽐⼿畫腳的⽅式來表達,離開學校後我依然期待晚上跟他們相處的時光,我們⼀起聊天或者問雙⽅關於⽇常⽣活的事, 他們也都⼀⼀回答,其中他們還教我們如何⽤⽇⽂點餐,我們也努⼒學習著,後來我們在拍貼機留下美好照片,雖然大家表情極其怪異⼜好笑,最後我們在廣場會合畫下了完美的句點。

I woke up early today because it would be the day to visit our friend school Hibari. So I didn't feel so tired as yesterday. At Hibari, we had the opening ceremony first. Then, we watched different clubs' performances.
After that, we separated into 9 groups to have the campus tour. It was fun and relaxing at that time because we didn't have to listen to the long and regular introduction. If we had any questions, we asked them right away. I found that their classrooms are different from ours, they don't have the windows. I'm surprised they wear their indoor shoes outdoors. Though their roads are really clean, I still feel confused about wearing indoor shoes.
We visited their clubs in the afternoon, including the tea ceremony, judo club, koto club and drama club. It was amazing when I saw their clubs. In Taiwan, most Taiwanese students don't concentrate on their clubs, I think they don't have interest in them, so they do their things on their own. But I love my club, I'm in the International Exchange Club, and I can make friends with different countries' students, and prepare all the things before Japanese students come to our school. I like to do work related to our club to keep me busy. Finishing these things makes me feel a sense of accomplishment.
Japanese students enjoyed working in their clubs, and I enjoyed it too. The most impressive club is the Koto club. Before visiting the koto club, I thought it was hard to learn koto. But after this time, I think playing koto is easier than I thought, students taught me nicely and understanding. At night, Japanese students brought us to eat Okonomiyaki, it was my first time eating this, and it was so delicious that I want to try again! When I encountered a problem, my partners help me at that moment, and I'm so appreciative of them. It was my first time visiting a Japanese school, it was a valuable experience. Their school is clean and clubs are fun. If there is another chance, I would like to come again!

今天是要去參訪「雲雀丘學院」的⽇⼦,這天我期待⾮常久了!因為我是國際交流社的社員,所以我已經透過視訊和線上討論報告先認識⽇本的學伴們〜在3/10的這天是「雲雀丘學園」的學⽣來到我 們磐⽯中學的⽇⼦,我們帶著他們認識了我們的校園,並⼀起做了⾺克杯和袋⼦,校園結束後, 我們帶著雲雀丘的學⽣們到了關帝廟和城隍廟做導覽和關卡的活動,也帶著他們⼀起去吃晚餐!
4/19是換我們去參訪「雲雀丘學園」的⽇⼦,今天⼀早起床不像以往疲憊不堪,反⽽是充滿精神和期待!當到了他們的學校,眼前的景象讓我嘆為觀⽌!映⼊眼簾的是那久違的操場、游泳池、⾼級的教學⼤樓,在進去學校前就有著與台灣不同的⽂化差異,在⽇本需要將鞋⼦換成乾淨的室內鞋,他們的地板乾淨的會滑,不像我們台灣的地板還能發現垃圾的蹤影。進到了教室,我看到了我的學伴熱情的和我揮⼿, 我⾮常開⼼她沒有忘記我,能在眾多的台灣學⽣中認出我來!當⼤家都做到⾃⼰的位置上和發完名牌後,⽇本的學⽣先⽤了PPT介紹了她們的學校和⼀些校內活動,印象最深刻的是他們的校外教學除了⽇本境內,還會到其他的國家!
介紹完後我們去看了社團的表演,有管樂隊、吉他社,在看完他們的表演後,發現⽇本的學⽣真的是多才多藝,⾃⼰好像除了讀書的功能⼀事無成!社團表演結束後,換我們唱「Totoro 」給他們聽,⼀開始⾮常的緊張,但當⼤家⼀起開⼝⼤聲時,⾃⼰也不由⾃主的跟著⼤聲唱,最後也完美的結束!唱完歌後,我們到⼤階梯拍了充滿紀念價值的⼤合照,便開始了我們的校園導覽,很幸運的是我們這組的⽇本學⽣有兩個是我國際交流社的學伴!我們⼀⼀參訪了他們的教室,並與他們的師⻑和學⽣們打招呼,在參訪的過程,我沒有看⼀間教室是有⼈趴在桌上睡覺 的,每⼀個⼈都⾮常專注在課堂上,這⼀點真的值得我們好好的學習!參訪結束後,我們回到了原本的教室,開始認識彼此,並計劃晚上的逛街⾏程! 再來就到了午餐時間,我們邊吃飯邊和⽇本⼈聊 天,我們教他們⼀些簡單常⽤的中⽂,她們也教了我們⼀些⽇⽂,最印象深刻的是,當我們在聊動漫的時候,有⼀位⽇本的男同學說他演過「天氣之⼦」的戲劇表演,並給我們看了他當時的影⽚,我們⼤家看了都哈哈⼤笑!享⽤完美味的午餐後,我們就開始⼀ㄧ的參訪他們的社團活動,有「舞蹈 社 」:她們每個跳舞都⾮常的有⾃信,完全沒有畏畏縮縮的感覺,「古箏社」:我們體驗了古箏,並且彈完⼀⾸曲⼦,「戲劇社」:這個社團的社⻑是我的學伴,讓我⾮常驚訝!社團結束後,我們的校園參訪也到了尾聲!
晚上我們到了三宮⾞站與⽇本組員再次⾒⾯,他們帶我們去扭扭蛋、夾娃娃、和⽇本的拍貼機,我們也和他們⼀起吃了晚餐,在逛街的路上我和我的學伴⼀起聊天,分享台灣和⽇本的⽂化差異!真的很開⼼能參與到這次參訪的⾏程,進⼊⽇本校園真的不是⼀般旅遊能做到的事,沒有進⼊他們校園,是無法體驗到⽇本和台灣的學習環境的差異! 在三宮⾞站與⽇本學伴分開的時候真的很不捨〜畢竟下⼀次⾒⾯也不知道是什麼時候了!從視訊交流到實際到他們的學校參訪,這段時間說⻑不⻑說短不短,但這份美好的回憶我⼀定永遠記在⼼裡,永遠不會忘記!

Day 3-As time flew by, we reached the middle of our trip. Day by day, we were getting more used to Japanese culture. As people say, understanding culture also includes understanding its architecture. What fascinated me most was Yumebutai, designed by the world-renowned architect Tadao Ando. Among all the beautiful structures, the one that impressed me the most was the breathtaking “Sea of Flowers.” They were lovely, but what touched me more was the story behind it. This garden was built to honor and mourn the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Its layered design reflects both sorrow and hope—reminding us of the strength to recover and the beauty that can grow from pain.

今天早上導遊介紹很多有關相撲選⼿的故事,原來相撲選⼿非常⾟苦,而現在很多⼈不太去從事這個職業,不過聽說還是有很多⽇本⼥⽣很想跟相撲選手結婚,原因可能是因為崇拜嗎?
今天我們身穿和服,體驗道地日本人氣質,⾛在清⽔寺附近的街道,真的有種進⼊古代日本的錯覺。⽊造⽼屋、和⾵⼩店,連⾵吹過來都特別有味道。⾛進清⽔寺,那壯觀的清⽔舞台超震撼,聽著導覽介紹寺廟的歷史和背後的信仰故事, 讓我覺得不只是觀光,⽽是真正理解了⼀點⽇本⽂化的深度。
晚上則是去了⼼齋橋,非常熱鬧,十分超現代,和⽩天的寧靜氣氛截然不同。⼀天之內從古代穿越到現代,這種⽂化反差真的很神奇,也讓我對⽇本充滿更多的好奇和欣賞。

教育無國界:從線上到實地,走進日本教育現場的深度學習之旅

Since the beginning of our online cultural exchange with Hibarigaoka Gakuen in Japan, a strong educational bond has formed between our students and teachers. From the initial virtual meetings to the visit of Hibarigaoka students and teachers to Taiwan this past March, we have experienced deep and meaningful cross-cultural learning. In April, it was finally our turn to visit Japan—an educational and cultural journey that proved to be both eye-opening and inspiring.
This journey was more than a simple overseas trip. It was a powerful experience of "stepping into another educational environment and reflecting on our own teaching practices." Hibarigaoka Gakuen impressed us with its carefully designed curriculum and well-organized campus environment. What stood out the most was the school’s emphasis on student autonomy and future development. On Saturdays, students are required to return to school not for extra academic lessons, but for club activities and research-based learning. Each student chooses a unique inquiry topic to explore in depth over time. These projects are not just academic exercises—they are meaningful pathways that help students begin thinking seriously about their futures.
We were also amazed by the level of specialization and thoughtful design in both the curriculum and learning spaces. Each club has its own dedicated classroom, and every type of course is held in a space specially designed for its function. For senior students preparing for college and career choices, there is a Career Counseling Room set up right next to their classrooms. This makes it easy for them to access resources and receive guidance quickly and conveniently. Teachers’ offices are also located nearby so that students can consult with them at any time. This careful arrangement reflects the school’s deep understanding of student needs and its commitment to professional, student-centered education.
What impressed us just as much as the facilities was the Japanese teachers’ “craftsmanship spirit.” Their attention to detail, commitment to quality education, and dedication to helping every student reach their full potential made us reflect on our own teaching. Are we also bringing the same level of passion, precision, and care into our classrooms?
One particularly touching moment during our visit was discovering a special display case on campus dedicated to Hibarigaoka’s international exchange history. Inside were items and souvenirs from their partnerships with schools around the world. In one corner of the case was a space devoted to St. Peter Senior High School. Our students’ handmade postcards, the mugs designed during a shared workshop, and the symbolic tokens exchanged by the two schools were all proudly displayed. These objects are more than just decorations—they represent a sincere and lasting friendship that bridges language and distance. Both schools treasure these memories, and this exchange is clearly valued by both sides.
This cultural and educational journey helped our students broaden their global perspectives, make international friends, and reflect more deeply on their own growth. As teachers, it gave us a rare opportunity to reconsider the role of education—not just as the delivery of knowledge, but as a journey of guiding young people to explore, grow, and discover their life paths. Without a doubt, our trip to Japan was a beautiful example of this mission in action.
自從與日本雲雀丘學園(Hibarigaoka Gakuen)展開線上文化交流合作以來,我們與日方師生之間建立起了一段深厚的教育情誼。從初期的線上會議,到今年三月雲雀丘師生首次造訪台灣,我們共同經歷了多次跨文化的學習與理解。今年四月,輪到我們帶著磐石的學生們踏上日本的土地,實地參與一場深具啟發性的教育文化之旅。
這趟旅程不只是一次出國見聞,更是一場「走進他人教育現場,回望自己教學本質」的深刻學習經驗。雲雀丘學園以其細緻的教學設計與井然有序的校園氛圍,深深震撼了我們每一位。最令人印象深刻的是他們對學生自主學習與未來發展的高度重視。週六期間,學生需到校參與社團活動與探究課程,不是為了課業補習,而是進行深度的主題研究,每一位學生都需選定一項「探究主題」進行長期的思考與實作。這種訓練不只是學術性的延伸,更像是為人生探索提早鋪路的預備課程。
此外,我們也觀察到雲雀丘學校在課程與空間上的高度專業分工:每一個社團擁有獨立教室,課程教室依功能劃分,不同的學習活動有其專屬場域。特別針對高三學生的需求,學校設有職涯諮詢室,在諮詢室內學生可以找到自己需要的生涯探索資訊,位置設在離學生最近的地方,方便即時提供升學或就業方向的資訊與協助。這樣貼心與效率兼具的安排,展現了他們對學生需求的深刻洞察與教育的高度專業。學校更特別安排高三學生教室在教師的辦公室旁,提供學生第一時間做諮詢或輔導。同時日方師長所展現出的「職人精神」,對我們更是一種提醒。在日常教學中,他們對細節的堅持、對教育品質的守護,以及對學生潛能開發的執著,無不讓我們反思:在自己的教學現場,我們是否也能投注這樣的熱情與精準?
在校園參訪過程中,有一幕讓我特別感動——我們在雲雀丘校內看到一個專屬於他們國際交流的櫥窗,裡頭陳列著他們與世界各地學校交流的紀念物與互贈禮品。而在櫥窗的一角,就是磐石中學的專屬位置。那裡擺放著我們學生親手設計的明信片、日本師生於實作體驗課程設計的馬克杯,以及兩校交換的信物。這不只是物品的展示,更象徵著我們之間跨越語言與距離的情誼,彼此都將這段交流視為值得珍藏的回憶。
相信這趟文化與教育並行的旅程,讓我們的學生拓展了視野、建立了國際友誼,也讓我們老師重新省思自身的教育角色與方向。教育不該只是知識的傳遞,更應是陪伴學生成長、探索、找到人生可能性的旅程。而這次的日本之行,無疑就是最好的實踐例證。
