Physical Education Program
MARKING PERIOD PE CLASSES

Grades: 9 -12 Quarter Credits: 1.25
During the same semester in which students have their quarter-long, grade-level health class, the other quarter of that semester will consist of a PE class for students, administered by grade. For 9th-graders, this class will be grounded in Project Adventure, a team-building program featuring upperclassmen as peer mentors. For students in grades 10-12, the marking period PE class will feature a comprehensive blend of team sports, individual and dual sports, fitness and conditioning.
SEMESTER-LONG PE COURSES
For semester-long PE courses, students will take either General PE, Weight Training, or Personal Wellness.

Students who take this semester-long PE course engage in aerobic exercise and weight-training in our school’s weight room. Programs range in different ways to increase strength, hypertrophy, and endurance.

Students who take this semester-long PE course engage in various fitness activities in our school’s wellness room, including step aerobics, yoga, aerobic exercise, meditation, breathing techniques, and dance.
