SPCS COMMUNITY CONNECTION

SPRINGFIELD PLATTEVIEW COMMUNITY SCHOOLS 24-25

Oct 2024

Dear Trojan Nation,

As we celebrate the end of homecoming week today, I hope this message finds you well and ready to embrace the excitement of our homecoming game this evening! The energy at Springfield Platteview Community Schools has been electric, and it’s been wonderful to see our students fully engaged in the spirit of the week.

The homecoming parade on October 2 was a resounding success, bringing together our community in a vibrant display of school pride. It was heartwarming to see our students participate in the daily themed dress-up days, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm. These moments truly embody the spirit of SPCS and remind us of the strong bonds we share.

Tonight, we invite you to join us for the Boys Varsity Football Game against Gretna East at Platteview High School's Salberg Field. This game is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of our students, their hard work, and the incredible support from our community. I encourage everyone to come out, cheer for our team, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes homecoming a cherished tradition. Go Trojans!

As we transition into fall, we are also looking forward to parent-teacher conferences later this month. These meetings are a fantastic opportunity to connect with your child’s educators and discuss their progress. Your involvement is essential, and together, we can ensure our students continue to thrive.

Thank you for your ongoing support and for being such an integral part of our school community. Let’s make this homecoming a memorable celebration and carry that spirit into the rest of the year!

Warm Regards,

Ryan Saunders, Ed.D.

Attendance Matters

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually, good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school and college.

Dig Pink Volleyball Game

The PHS volleyball team held their annual Dig Pink game on October 1st, and it was an incredible success! For those who may not know, the Dig Pink game is a special event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Thank you to everyone who supported us and made this event so meaningful. Your energy and enthusiasm truly made it a memorable evening!
